As a Pittsburgher, it’s important to enjoy all of the city’s finest gifts… the Pens, the bridges and, of course, the pierogis. There is a well-known correlation between Pittsburgh and Pierogies. Introduced to our city by immigrants, these filled dumplings became very popular very fast. Whether served as a savory side dish or a sweet dessert, it’s a just another Pittsburgh thing that we all know and love.

This Sunday, October 8 is national Pierogi Day and this is your guide to the best pierogi joints in Pittsburgh. Pierogies may not have been invented here, but we sure do house some of the best around! From local breweries to a brand new pierogi bar, Pittsburgh is the place to be on this year’s National Pierogi Day.
